After ordering, we were given some bread/baguettes, light salad/olives and some kind of garlic cream that went perfect with the former....: After the nice appetizer, I started with Scampi Creme Suppe, became my favorite real soon, it was soooo creamy and had very interesting seasoning (spices , I have no idea what did they use, but phenomenal. Then we ordered a mixed platter for 2 from these: „Bodulo“ Krustentiere Teller and Fischplatte „Bodulo“. Well, look at the picture. It was fresh, huge, we ate everything and almost exploded. The fish was just perfect, the waiter was funny, kept us entertained. The place is small but nice, just to let you know, if you are paying partially with voucher, then the rest should you pay with CASH only. Have no idea why, but luckily we had cash with us. I also won't lie, since a Dalmatian seafood restaurant, the prices are not for the faint of heart. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, thank you!
Starting with the positives, the food is excellent, both the fish as well as the side vegetables. Hence my 4 star rating. My review is limited however on one dining experience and on one dish. As to service, I have grudgingly accepted that servers in...Vienna may differ from my own standards. Fair enough. But I came here expecting that I can choose from 9 varieties of fish as listed on their menu, while being told right from the start (without an explanation) that I can forget about 99 percent of those and they only have one, namely Branzino. It turned out to be very good but I expected more options, since it claims to be one of the major fish restaurants. As for price point, I realize that fresh seafood is expensive. I did however find it it high for a suburban restaurant on a busy street with little ambiance. Also, the level of service added nothing to my dining experience. It is unlikely that I will return.
Terrible service, very expensive and bad eating, very small portions, they need to eat three dishes to be full. the owner is rude and does not treat the client well.
Bodulo is a small, cozy, friendly and excellent restaurant. they supply a delicious small plate of olives while using. our appetizers were prosciutto Croatian cheese. perfect. our first cure was grilled otopus and the second one a seafood tagliatelle. the otopus was perfectly grilled, slenderly moist and no carburized ****. the seafood pasta was a deeply tasteful combination that tasted from the sea. a breathtaking court. our main course was snuggle and a second dish of grilled calamari. both are perfectly executed. as a delicious meal as I could imagine. we also had 3 glasses of a wonderful Croatian red. the entire meal with a pointed amount was 120 €. I had expected to pay closer to double this, and it would still have been worth it! reservations are strongly recommended, that is a small place. also parking is difficult, so bake in 15 minutes more hunting time. something important? Well, the supplement on the calamari was a potato-spinch-crease I'm told is a beloved Croatian comfort food. for us there is a final consummation I would give this young 6 stars if possible. we will often return.
We enjoyed a lunch menu here, as part of the „Beer Week“. Starter was a green salad covered by smoked Swordfish with strawberries main course was a Branzino filet with Mediterranean grilled vegetables. The fish was fresh imported directly from Croatia), the food...delicious and the service friendly and good. So definitely worth while of heading to Vienna’s 17. district and enjoying what the Bodulo has to offer!
