Cavo - GENOVA

We were looking for a quick bite early one evening near our hotel. Bar Cavo fitted our bill perfectly. The place was full of locals but we were greeted warmly and a seat found for us. We had a pasta and chicken dish and both were made with fresh ingredients and were very tasty. All dishes that I saw passing from the kitchen looked delicious. We had a carafe of red wine which was were pleasant on a chilly evening. This isn’t a fine dining establishment but if you want good local food and wine you will not be dissapointed.

I ate outside which made me very happy. The waitress tried her best to inform on everything in English. I ordered the frutri Di mare and it was amazing. I also ordered a glass of wine and the wine was really cold which was nice since it was so hot outside. Plus I'm Franch so a cold wine is really important. I had an Italian feeling you know nice little corner, nice food, glass of wine. Waiting for the food did not take too long, it was an average time. They didn't push me to leave, I could stay as long as I wanted.

Food was cold and uncooked, sent it back, came back the same way, tasteless, we couldn't eat the food, left it all behind, we paid and the manager was very rude, be wary of pictures on the menu, the owners are not Italian, and not an Italian in sight either as staff or customers, that's okay if the quality of the food is okay but it was inedible, we paid, left, and went next door to get food, stay away from this establishment, its brutal.

We ordered pizza and pasta, the wasn’t good at all. for such a service and food tastes like that it was too expensive. the waiter spokes english very poorly. The toilet was like from the horror movies. don’t waste your money and time

We came 4 people and sat there for 10 minutes before we went for menu’s ourself. Then we were told to sit down and wait for the waiter to approach us. 10 minutes later she’s there very rude and nasty. The staff in the bar was unpleasant and rude also, when I went to pay the bartender said to me “what do you want” aggressively. The food was very bad, and undercooked. Don’t come here!
