Newk's Eatery - Germantown

The Germantown location has seriously declined since the pandemic. I understand the challenges like staffing shortages, inflation, and the need to manage costs, but this restaurant might as well shut its doors. The staff is rude and indifferent, and prices have gone up while portion sizes have shrunk. I've been a loyal fan of Newk's for over 10 years, but after my most recent visit, I’m done. I paid $15 for a half sandwich and a half cup of soup, only to have my meal essentially thrown onto the table, with the server already halfway across the room before I could even say thank you. They no longer serve food on dishes like they used to; everything comes in small takeout portions in plastic containers. This has been the case for several visits now, so it's with a heavy heart that I say I won't be coming back. While the food was still good, the overall experience was simply awful.

My wife and I were recommended this restaurant by family. I ordered their famous salad, while my wife chose the tortilla soup. Both portions were large and very tasty. The standout aspect of our visit was Ms. Trish, who works the floor and truly takes pride in her guests. When my wife requested some tortillas, Trish kindly brought me a small cup of soup to try along with the tortilla chips. I also attempted to go refill my drink, but she insisted I stay seated and filled it for me. I noticed her greeting every person who entered and bidding farewell to those who left, often expressing how much she looked forward to seeing them again. It was a delight to enjoy such good food in the company of someone so passionate about her job and dedicated to her guests. We will definitely be returning.

I visited this location while working with Uber Eats. The shopping and town center resemble Germantown, that's for sure. However, I found it a bit confusing. I accidentally parked in the dumpster area. Improved signage and navigation would be helpful. On a positive note, my order was ready as soon as I arrived.

Best Newk's in town. Staff, food and service were great last 3 times I visited.

It's in an upper level parking area. Had to take stairs or elevator. Nice area , it was ok food wise.
