Tapas Del Mar Gili Air - Gili Islands

Ridiculously romantic. Incredible quality food at a good price. Beautiful location for sunset dining.

Some good tapas in a fantastic location. The island doesn't have many places that feel like a real dining experience. This is one of them. Had a nice range of tapas but we actually really enjoyed the breadcrumbed cauliflower, which was quite the surprise. Not the most authentic tapas we've ever had, but since it's Gili Air and not Madrid, we don't blame them for that.

We stumbled upon this tapas restaurant and had a quick look at the online reviews which were mixed. When stood outside, a man leaving told us how great the food is, so we gave it a try. We are SUPER glad we did. All of the tapas dishes were incredibly delicious and the food was fresh. The portions were fair, 5 prawns for the prawn dish. Also, nothing was too much trouble. I asked for a coconut from their sister restaurant which wasn’t on their menu, and the waiter came over 2 minutes later with one for me! We had a lovely meal here, 7 tapas dishes, 1 dessert and two drinks for GBP £22. Excellent value and excellent food!

We went to tapas del mar last night and it was fantastic- every bite was delicious( except the chicken ragout bite- that was a bad one to finish on). The octopus was a standout for us. The sangria was also really tasty! Really recommend!
