I don't live in Missouri, nor have I purchased anything from there other than this meal, and about an hour after I left, my debit card which I used to pay for the meal and which I haven't used in quite a while just happened to get a fraudulent charge for $117 at wings n things express restaurant in Missouri if my card number was stolen before this visit it is one hell of a coincidence that it just happened to happen right after we left and at a restaurant not but 15 miles south from this one.
First time visiting today for lunch and it exceeded any expectations I had. I didn't quite know how it would be, but seriously such a cool experience and the food was fantastic, extremely fresh and I really have zero complaints. Four of us shared a hot pot and chose the herbal broth which was almost floral-ish, with chicken, meatballs, bok choy, spicy and regular house sauce, okra, potato and 3 different types of noodles. The staff was courteous and helpful and the environment is nice and open, clean and welcoming. I can't wait to go back with others and share the experience and try something different!
Ordered House Soup with Lamb Breast, Wagyu, and Beef Tenderloin for the meats. Also ordered many other vegetables. For the most part, the soup and food was great. I would say though the Lamb Breast was very tough to eat. Some ingredients may taste less fresh. For most of the meat, it would just have to be cooked for a couple of seconds. The table was a bit tight so the chairs bumped into others behind. Service: Dine in
My family and I decided to try out the Hot Pot Grill last Friday afternoon. As first timers we didn’t really understand how the food ordering worked (and the waitress was not very helpful with questions about portions) and we ordered waaayyy too much food but it was amazing and a fun experience, so I gave the place 5 stars there! And then we were all done and paid (now the 1 star part).be prepared, apparently they automatically add an 18% gratuity for any number in your party (we had 5) and then I would HIGHLY suggest not using a debit or credit card unless you want to get hacked! Either the waitress stole our number or they don’t use a secure system because within 15 minutes of us leaving the restaurant we got taken for nearly $500 in food charges at various restaurants all within 15 miles of the hot pot grill. We have filed a police report and disputes with our bank but it’s going to be a mess! So far we can’t say for sure whether the charges were directly from someone at the restaurant or from a hacker in the area but I would definitely not recommend taking any chances IF you decide to eat here and pay with anything but cash.
