I do mean AMAZING food and the sangria is delish as well. The goats cheese dish and tbe lightly dusted haddock bites were my absolute favourite but honestly everything we have tried was so tasty!
This restaurant has one of the best Spanish food I've tried in my life. The chorizo al vino was heavenly as it was the Tinto de Verano. The paella tapa is a great idea if you want to have some paella, but also experience some tapas. The gambas we're delicious and juicy, the croquetas were also special. On top of that, customer service was great and the place is gorgeously decorated.
Been to Cafe Andaluz quite a few times in the past few years. It’s always been very good for the price you pay, but last night, me my gf and friends went out for a Christmas birthday dinner and it was very disappointing. Don’t know if it’s because of the time of year, but the portions were poor in size and rather tasteless, not to mention cold aswell. Out of all the dishes though, the lamb stew was very poor. You would literally need to be be Bergerac to find any lamb in it. The croquettes were cold as was the honey chilli chicken. The only saving grace is that the sangria is lovely. Overall a special night spoiled by half a*sed cooking.
As well as the lovely selection of tapas here, the service was exceptional fast, polite, professional. From the moment we sat down a waiter suddenly appeared to take our drinks order, followed swiftly by another waiter taking our food order not long after. The food came quickly followed by our request for the bill (which can take ages in many places) which came right back. When we paid and told the waiter to keep the change as staff tips, he was honest enough to point out that the bill already included a tip. They definitely deserved our 'extra ' tip. Highly recommend.
This was a dreadful dining experience. We were put under immense pressure by the staff to order eat and get out. The food was mediocre and had signs of rushed preparation : aubergine under cooked, prawns a bit cold etc. Although the mere was no one waiting and empty tables around us we were rushed out 5 minutes in advance of our 1hour 30 slot ending. The staff appeared themselves to be under pressure and very stressed. Do not go here.
