I have visited this cafe several times for lunch and always order their soup, which is usually good but a bit pricey. However, during my last visit, the ladles for the soup were extremely hot and I ended up burning my hand and spilling soup on the side of the takeaway cup. I had to put that cup into another one to avoid getting burnt again. When I went to pay, they not only charged me extra for the cup but also gave me a hard time about asking for butter for my bread roll, citing small profit margins on the soup. I find the price of £3.50 for soup already expensive, and it doesn't cost that much to make a batch of leek and potato soup. I won't be returning to this cafe as I don't mind paying a bit more for quality and good service, but not for rude staff and overpriced food.
I went to Jules Cafe for lunch. The Mac and Cheese was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very kind. It was a great value. I highly recommend this cafe.
Only tried a coffee as they forgot my roll. I ordered to sit in received my coffee but no roll and after half an hour I gave up and left. From what I could see they were struggling to keep up with food orders.
Walked by the storefront several times during our stay. Walked in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. The staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is something for everyone and the pastries are delicious. I ordered a cappuccino and it might have been the best one I have ever had. Went back in the afternoon for another. Very close to the train station and area hotels.
