Contribuer aux commentairesexcellent service! our server, tiffany, was wonderful! very attentive, friendly and friendly. she made our culinary experience even better. we hope that it will be recognized for its excellent customer service. the food was also delicious!
from beginning to end, hondos was absolutely amazing. I took my mother to eat as thank you and we were so happy to have ethan as our server! a few weeks ago I had dinner in hondos and ethan was my server, so I knew my mom and I would be treated with the highest care. as a starter we ordered the fried oysters that came with a delicious Remoulade sauce. the oysters were baked for perfection with only a very light broth that did not take away from the tender oysters below. I love a ribeye steak! when I ethan asked if I should order the boneless ribey or the bone-in crucible, he suggested that I go with the boneless because it is a thicker cut and has better sibling. ethan could have sold me the more expensive steak easily, but he did not, he gave me a great advice that offered from the fact that the boneless ribeye a better meat cut. I appreciate his honesty. I was in every steakhouse in richmond, recently I could add, and I must say that hondos, by far, has the best boneless ribeye steak. the boneless ribeye steak was not only served to perfection, but the rare plus temperature was perfectly boiled! Many of the richmond range steakhouses not season enough their steaks and it leaves one that has to add much salt and pepper or even add different sauces to make the taste of the meat better. not at hondos! to have used the creamy searettich sauce on my Hondos’ steak would have been a falsification of the meat. to dessert we had the homemade Pecan Pie! everything I can say is wow! the chef has created a beautiful chocolate lattice work design under the piece of cake that eats it almost too beautiful. hondos is now my favorite restaurant in richmond, not only for the amazing food and great service, but also for the fact that I can enjoy a very nice meal and I don't have to hear much excessive noise from other guests.
the service was at the arrival slower than normal. contemplate to detail not what it is usually here. the food was not properly cooked. Usually they love this place. tonight was a night I wish I had gone to arby.
Though our server tried to be attentive, he was simply too stretched. Staffing appeared to be too lean. Also, we could not use our gift card for the gratuity, which I think it just weird. I had to pay the gratuity in cash or use another card. Also, there are no choices on basic things such as the bread for sandwiches (it was marbled rye only on our day) and no cocktail sauce was available for seafood/fish menu items. Overall, the food quality and lack of seemingly basic choices are unacceptable in light of Hondo's premium prices.
Definitely not worth the high prices are not at all commensurate with the quality of the food. Inflation does not equate to the exorbitant prices. If this wasn't such a special occasion would not return.
