Lava in Balaclava - Glen Eira

Lava in Balaclava is casual with a pleasant atmosphere. Food was great, wonderful eastern flavours and very reasonably priced for the quality and size of serves. Staff were very pleasant and professional. We will definitely go back.

Amaizing restaurant, nice and testy food, great atmosphere ,friendly and very profession staff. We have great time and have bought another deal for friend of my already again .I could suggest to everybody visit this place.

Looked busy, always a good sign, so popped in and glad we did.Very friendly service and a good range of foods on menu to suit most tastes. I opted for a scrambled egg, bacon and caramelised onion wrapped in a roti (flat bread) and it was gorgeous.Wife went for the 'Israeli breakfast' which was sourdough with poached eggs on, smoked salmon, salad stuff (I'm not a salad person!) avocado and a few other bits I couldn't recognise. Wash it down with coffee and what a way to start the afternoon. Well worth a visit.

We went to this restaurant for a late lunch. The menu is vast and caters for vegan and gluten free. There is all day breakfast with a very good variety. I had the chicken and spinach and bean gnocchi. It was very tasty and a good portion. Other had eggs benedict, chicken wrap and burger and fries. Everyone was happy. Prices range from $12 to $18. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. We would come again.
