However, the deluxe version sauce on the burrito was disappointing, but the guacamole was very good. Overall, it was a flavorful experience. The jalapeño poppers were tasty, with an excellent balance of cream cheese and pepper. The complimentary Valentina sauce on the table added the perfect amount of zing to our meal. Looking forward to trying the fish tacos next time, and the jalapeño poppers are a must-have.
Just ordered a burrito for lunch. Have had one from here before and it was good but this one was tiny and flavourless. For the same money as Zamberos or guzman I would go one of these over that tiny excuse for a burrito. Yes...it was the regular but it was boardering on ‘ where is it ?’
Came in with my wife on a weeknight. The fit out of the venue is fantastic which is what drew us in at first, everything seemed clean too which is always a good start. There is a large menu with a great range of options...as well which looked promising. I began with a Tommy’s Margarita, however it was relatively flavourless due to being overshaken and served like a classic Margarita, rimmed with table salt which threw off the flavour of the already lacklustre drink. The inside of the glass wasn’t wiped out either which resulted in lumps of salt in some sips of the drink. My wife’s Blueberry Margarita had a better flavour profile, but confusingly still had a table salt rim which didn’t compliment the flavours of the drink. The food was flavour-wise actually reasonably balanced, we both had quesadillas and shared some Mexican Nacho Fries. However the presentation of the food left a lot to be desired. They didn’t garnish the quesadillas in any way, leaving the plate looking bland and beige, and the fries looked like an HSP that had been dumped on a plate. Overall there was potential here but a lack of executional skills detracted from the experience
Had a look around the area and found this location, outdoor seating and very comfortable, friendly quiet staff, plenty of menu options, food was awesome!
Nothing good I can say about the food here. It wasn’t Mexican at all, I had a taco chicken salad that was literally four pieces of lettuce mixed in with a slosh of beans, rice, slop and chicken served in a deep fried pastry case?...Nothing fresh or taco about it at all. Mexican fries seemed very popular what the? (Has anyone here ever eaten Mexico’s? Wednesday is 25 cent chicken wings (min order of 10 and 95% of the people there were there for them which kind of sums the place up. Also had a jug of Sangria which putting politely, was ****, very little flavour and basically not Sangria... Definitely won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend if you want Mexican food. Go there if you want chicken and chips or a burger but definitely not for Mexican food.
