Sugo Pizzeria - Golden Grove

Thought I’d try the new shop and very let down. Pre-made based like too many shops are doing now days. You can tell the second you open the box and with no pizza dough smell at all! Fortunately when I walked in to another pizza shop in Modbury Heights during the long time it took for someone to bother serving me, a girl pulled out a pile of pre-made pizza based like spare tyres out of a freezer, so I luckily escaped the shop. I felted extremely ripped off for the tasteless pizza I had to ring to find out where it was after being told 30 mins wait after an hour from a grumpy guy over the phone. If you like pre-made bases, buy a McCain pizza, it will taste similar and save you $25.00 . The previous owners there used real dough and tasted amazing. Not perfectly shaped circles with the holes on the base. In all fairness though, almost all the shops in the area do the same, probably to save on costs but you can get real made bases that are authentic and cheaper at Surrey Downs and Holden Hill, if they deliver to golden grove? I think the other reviews must be family and friends, surely? My wife didn’t even bother eating it after the first slice. Better than Dominos is about the only good thing I can say, but poor grumpy service to add to an already disappointing pizza really left me angry after paying good money!

I've had pizza from here several times, and it's fantastic. The garlic bread is also excellent. This has become my new favorite spot!

We ordered a large pizza, half Hawaiian and half BBQ chicken. However, I noticed that it didn't mention anything about a swirl on the BBQ page, which is why I chose it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I couldn't eat it because it just wasn't what I expected.

I ordered online an hour before the delivery time, but the food arrived 30 minutes late. To make matters worse, the driver was busy with multiple deliveries at 9:30, which is exactly why I placed my order in advance. It’s frustrating that a bunch of kids, seemingly around 14 or 15 years old, are handling the deliveries. I felt like this delay became my fault. I think I’ll go back to Roman’s instead.

To leave another review because this is the best pizza I have ever had in adelaide or anywhere in the did. can not recommend enough and definitely worth the ride if it is not in the golden hain area
