No there are very few things better than GOOD ice cream. It's the ultimate treat, reward, and indlugence. Truly a thing of beauty. Truth be told, walking up to Buckaroo, I was a total skeptic. I figured there's no way amazing ice cream was waiting for me in Graegle CA! Much to my surprise, I was completely wrong, and salted caramel is how I know! This is a flavor that is so overdone. It's usually so artificial tasting, and typically sweeter than it should be, that it's not enjoyable. So when you hit the real thing, it's somewhat lifechanging. Yep. You know what I'm talking about. Eyes go wide, mouths salivate uncontrollably, and a flavor fever sweeps over you! The food is gone before you're able to figure out what you yourself just did, and you must have more. That's what happened between salted caramel and I at Buckaroo Chocolates, but I managed to fight off my mistresses call and NOT order a second helping. In case you were worried, the scoops here are HUGE (or Yuge depending what you believe). There's no way anyone NEEDS two scoops, but if you don't get two, how will you try more than one flavor? I was lucky enough to have a few friend with me who all did something different. MMMMMM! Buckaroo also has that special something for your four-legged friend, a Pup Cup! For only $1, your pup will enjoy a big scoop of vanilla topped with a dog biscuit! Sure, it's not something I do for my buddy all the time, but after a solid hike he deserves a reward too, and boy did he love it! So make Buckaroo a spot on your lists of must-visit places in Northern CA. Get the salted caramel and tell it I said hi!
In Graeagle for the afternoon my wife and I needed a break her for some ice cream, myself for some coffee. Just the place was across the street: Buckaroo Chocolates. Talk about the perfect business: coffee, ice cream and chocolate all under one roof! The owner was very friendly and helped us with our choices. Since it was a hot August day, I opted for the Buckaroo Icy Mocha, essentially an iced mocha latte. My wife had the toffee ice cream in a cup. Both were excellent, a very tasty mocha, and the ice cream was delicious, definitely of high quality. All seating is outside on umbrella covered picnic tables, which worked out perfectly since it started to drizzle while we were out there. Even though it was a midweek afternoon, a number of people were enjoying the day with a leisurely ice cream. I heard the couple next to us mentioning they always went out of their way to stop by for their beloved chocolate ice cream fix. A great sweet tooth or caffeine fix stop!
Hey there buckaroo! Saddle up on your hoss and git down heya for some of that there aaaaaahscream. You heard me. Git your long little doggys, pardner, and the next time yer sweatin' in the sun from them long dusty days on the trail, reeefresh yourself with a coupla' scoops of the finest aaaahscream in Graegle. This here locale is in about the perdiest little stretch of town. They call it a master planned community, from the good ol' days, but all ah know is that the houses all look the same, and they ain't houses no more. They're all businesses. From a rest'runt, to a baaah-sickle shop, to this here Buckaroo chocolates. Sure, they do make them fancy chocolates, like the ones Miss Priscilla at the pianner hall lahks, but fer my money, it's all about the aaaaahscream. I got mahself a two-scooper. I put a little Maui Wowie on the bottom, and followed it up with a little of that there Caramel Caribou. It's about the best comb-eye-nation of aaaaahscream you ever done flapped your lips around. The vaniller and caramel of the top layer really smoothed out the wowie of the bottom, and it jest wurked. Now if yer lucky, you'll bring that long little doggy and get the $1 pup cup. It's a scoop of vaniller with a dawg biscuit right there in the middle. If yer double lucky, you'll be there on a naaahs day, and git around to the side of the shop on the stationary merry-go-round. Them sure are a naaahs posse a hosses. If yer in town and ya need a little sweet to put the cool down on that there hot sun, git on in to Buckaroo, buckaroo!
This is the best place to get ice cream, it's homemade and fresh and I give it a 10/10, this place is so good, they have amazing chocolates, coffee, ice cream, etc and they are less expensive. If you are looking for some fresh, homemade, amazing ice cream this is the place for you, the business is great the people that work there are great, everything about this place is great.
My family and I were visiting Graeagle a few weeks ago. We took a day to walk around town to shop. This was our first stop for some treats. I had a blackberry truffle and a double scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone. I don't remember the name of the ice cream. It was a toffee, caramel flavor. Ice cream and truffle were both delicious! Service could have been better. There were two young girls and an older woman working. The older woman made us feel very rushed. I definitely would have bought more if I didn't feel so rushed.
