Wife and I are on the boarder New Mexican that means we like heat which we did not get here but what we got were flavors, outstanding flavors. Wife compared it to eating at a grandmothers place. Good food well layered in spices. We had the tamales and enchilada's. The tamales were really well made and while we like a little red (chile) in our masa we would have bought a dozen if they had of had them in stock. The beans and rice were good too. All said if I ever want to drive for an hour to get lunch or dinner this is the place we'll head to. As a side note we spoke more Spanish than English here. While the cook can get by in English she was much more comfortable speaking spanaish.
Not sure what the issue was for the bad reviews but the food is great and the salsa was too! Very cheap and fresh. Service excellent and the owner/cook/waitress was wonderful. Stop here for real Mexican food!
Food was cold and she didn’t listen when I was ordering Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
We walked in near closing time and the cafe made tamales for our entire funeral party, no questions asked. The food was INCREDIBLE and the community oriented customer service was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend supporting this small business
The food was wonderful. Grabbed 2 bottle of Coke. Sadly, warm. But great food.
