Garden Gate Tea Room - Granite City

This place was checked during work in the area. I can't say how impressed I was with the food and service. It is a beautiful little picturesque atmosphere. Eating is great hometown Americans. They have sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups. Menu was diverse, but not so big that you could not decide what to get. The owner worked all the time when we were there and I was impressed. Our server was incredible! Very recommended.

A must! Menu is beautiful and eclectic! The owner is a hometown woman and comes out to welcome all her guests! The staff is so friendly! Be there for years and have great clean appearance, but also serve quickly and worth the speed for lunch breaks! You make sure your glass is never empty! You have no waiting for your food, but it is also cooked to order. Nothing's sitting around! The decorations are so eclectic, feels like entering a strange country with a great atmosphere and atmosphere! It is calmer, we take no children there and see no others; since most lunches are the city officials and business class and not quite the environment for the children during the business dinners and/or private bride lunch or shower parties w/lunches!

This is a wonderful community restaurant. The owner is Brenda Whitaker always a warm refreshing smile when you enter; miraculous food! You have a wonderful staff. Very accommodating. Everything inside is so beautiful and quiet; just a wonderful atmosphere. You have to visit. This is a place to go and again you will not be disappointed! I often go here and love it.

I love this place. The food was excellent although our waitress seemed preoccupied and was not very quick with the refills the prices were reasonable and the bread and herb butter they serve prior to your meal is excellent (although not nearly enough! Try the Lobster Bisque or the French Onion Soup. Both were very good. Their sandwiches and wraps are also delicious we were all pleasantly surprised by the good the food and the beautiful decor of this small and unassuming little tea room. Can't wait to eat there again!
