This is a staple greensboro brunch spot. Unlike most of the triad, this restaurant serves brunch throughout the week. Depending on the day the service can get a little busy, that's to be expected. The patio is my favorite part of this place. They have plants crawling up the outer walls, and it looks so pretty despite overlooking the parking lot. The food is so fresh and delicious. They have twists on classic southern recipes. It's definitely a place for a cheat day. You don't want to count calories here or miss out on the fried, baked, and buttered dishes!
First time trying this place out and will definitely be back! Such a cute atmosphere inside and out! Employees were very nice! The food was to die for! I took pictures of everyone food, but I will say that almond banana pancake was amazing! Just the right amount of sweet without it being overpowering. The pancake itself was so delicious and wasn't too thin or too big. The cheese grits are a must! The best grits I had when I was there to visit!
We flew into Greensboro to attend a memorial service in Martinsville VA. Scrambled came recommended. I made a reservation as our timing was tight with the timing of the memorial service. (Highly recommend a reservation if you plan on arriving an hour after opening. We were greeted, seated immediately, and offered coffee and water by our server Curtis. They do have a full bar and had a creative cocktail list, but we weren't able to try any. I definitely would if our schedule had been different. A simple menu with tons of creative options. We noticed plenty of waffles at the surrounding tables and they looked fluffy. I ordered friend green tomatoes with Gouda pimento cheese and crumbled sausage and I added an egg. The tomatoes were perfectly crispy, the cheese wasn't overbearing, and the sausage had so much flavor. I'd order it again. Hubby ordered the shrimp and grits. It now officially holds the #1 spot for shrimp and grits. He especially likes that they removed the tails. We also tried the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were great. Large and fluffy inside. The gravy was lacking in flavor to us. The sausage again was great, but the overall taste of the gravy was less than impressive. We would definitely visit Scrambled again next time we are in the area.
Yummy crab Benedict at a reasonable price. I went back 2 days in a row to get it. The parking lot is super tight but there is a gravel lot across the street. Waitress was very pleasant as well.
