Pier Oyster Bar Grille - Greensboro

The quality of everything is mediocre at best. The service is surprisingly poor, with waitstaff who seem to have little knowledge about seafood.

Some menu items were unavailable, but what I did end up ordering was delicious and fresh. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

We made reservations for 7:30 but were informed that there would be a delay due to understaffing in the kitchen. Despite the efforts of our waitress, we were not served until 9pm. It seemed that there was a lack of management present to address the issue. When we requested bread to tide us over, we were told it was only available for customers ordering entrees, even though 3 out of 6 of us had done so. Our meals were brought out in a disjointed manner, with 4 out of 7 arriving before our oyster appetizer and the remaining 3 coming 15 minutes later. It's unfortunate because the food was enjoyable and we liked the atmosphere, but Pier could benefit from significant training and management improvements.

We never got to eat the food b/c they didn’t even start our order until 40min after we placed it. Took 20min to get our drinks.

Cool place. Good drink and beer menu. We did not try the raw bar stuff. Shrimp and grits were good but more like a etoufee sauce. Scallops were good. Nothing at al bad about the place and prices were fair, just not amazing food.
