Food is good for most of the time. The service was very good in the last few months. Really the feeling that Griffin Zaxby rocks it.
Their food is usually pretty good. Service has always been slow, but they are always busy which is good for the corporate franchise. Waiting on carry out food that was preordered via the app for a total of about 45-minutes, receiving cold food, and driving home 30 more minutes to eat cold food with food missing is thievery. While I realize how busy this restaurant is after years of being their customer as well as how they are adapting to the stress of the pandemic and lack of people who actually want to work, I cannot not give them a great review. The manager was gracious and working her a off. She was doing everything she could to keep her customers served in a timely manner. This is no way lack of management skills. She offered to help rectify this situation; however, I am relocating will not be able to return anytime soon. This is poor work ethic on the part of predominantly young staff. Clearly they are understaffed and dealing with heavy traffic. We have to learn how to adapt to the current health crisis and change in the way that we serve the public. Do better.
The food was good but it was cold. The thing that made me mad was I upgraded my drinks to a bigger size and ended up with 3 gulps worth of soda. It wasn't anywhere near full and it had WAYYYYY TOO MUCH ICE!!!!!
We really enjoy Zaxby's overall, but the chicken fingers have started to seem more like oversized chicken nuggets. They're just not as appealing as they used to be.
