I called the waiter and tried to convince myself that the court was what I ordered. My roommate just didn't get what he ordered.
Went here with a local family on a recent whale watching trip. The food was okay but nothing special. Service was relaxed which is to say by US standards slow but for Baja it was okay. We were with a local Mexican family and the...slow service gave us time to visit and practice our Spanish so we weren't too bothered. They did mess up one of our orders but corrected it quickly when we explained the mess up. The food was okay by local standards but nothing fancy. It was a passable meal. I would recommend fish as that seemed to be local and relatively fresh. The place was a bit quiet the night we were there but the staff were friendly enough. The decor is a bit strange with various stuffed animals hanging around the place. Made for good conversation though with the local family we were with.
We rolled into town with a party of 10, half Canadian and from the USA. Our 1st night we ate as a group at the motel a few blocks away, convenient but not wonderful. We got a heads up from friends that had been there...just the day before, and recommended Las Cazuelas. They handled all 10 of us with diverse palates and or understanding of the Spanish language. We took up most of the restaurant, it's not a big chain, they took a little while to prepare all of our different selections, but not too slow, and everything was Muy Bien, and the cost was a great value for all we ate. The entire family crew catered to our every want and need. Would we go back again...Absolutely!
Stopped there because it was literally next to our hotel. The parking lot was full of American cars so we felt safe stopping by there. We ordered the food to go since we were very tired and just wanted to relax in the hotel room....The food took about 45 minutes! I expected it to be delicious because of the wait, WRONG! even my 5 yr old didn't like her quesadilla. How do you mess up a quesadilla? After taking a bite myself, I didn't blame her. My husband then took a bite of his asada tacos...and he who pretty much eats everything, didn't this time. The meat just looked and tasted like it was frozen and microwaved, therefore it was dry, hard and pretty crappy. Never stepping foot there again .
