Popped in today after a walk over the hill. Friendly inviting staff quickly prepared a table as a group left and were ready for us in a very short time, despite it being busy as we arrived. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. I had a mocaccino, which was delicious. After lunch we had a selection of cakes. I cannot recommend the toffee apple flapjack enough: it is absolutely fabulous! Overall a great cafe that has survived tough times and deserves support. Well worth a visit.
We visited the new year and the young lady who served us was attentive and polite. regarding the menu, I am used to being a vegetarian of almost 30 years to the fact that vegetarian lip service is paid or even classified as inconvenience, so that the veggie choices have been very appreciated and I really enjoyed my veggie melt.
Here for breakfast while staying on holiday and was really pleased to see a vegan breakfast, including a fully vegan breakfast (vegan sausage, beans, mushrooms, hash brews, tomatoes and toast) and a vegan sausage sandwich. the sausages are veggie style instead of a meat substitute but really delicious and not dry as they can be. it was a nice breakfast, but I would love that they were a bit braver and add a tofu scramble! updated by the previous review on 2021-08-29
Some decent vegan options on the menu including burger, curry and falafel. personal very friendly and knowledgeable about what was vegan. there were a few different vegan desserts, including an absolutely huge and very delicious sticky toffee pudding with vegan ice or cream. will definitely be back when ever in the opposite again.
