Despite being the only customers there for an early Friday lunch, our order was forgotten. The maic kartoffel dish I tried had a strange consistency and taste, not in a pleasant way. Overall, the meal was not very satisfying.
I absolutely loved the location of this restaurant. Even though it is hidden, it has a truly unique charm. The interior is even more impressive than the location, with a cozy and warm atmosphere that is perfect for dark winters. The menu features a selection of European dishes, priced at either £7 or £11, as well as a daily Deli counter and seating for 60 guests. The cocktails, especially the margaritas, were excellent. We enjoyed the flatbread and fried courgette as starters, both of which were delicious. The salmon was fresh and reminded me of dining in Scandinavia. For the main course, we both chose the Metzger steak. The side dishes included a green salad and macaroni and cheese.
In November, the Travel Kitchen Bar was hosting a pop-up by Breddos Tacos, but the restaurant space located among the railway arches was finally taken over by Jones Sons. The restaurant now offers a variety of modern European and British dishes. Next to the restaurant area, the front side of the room serves as a seating area with a series of tables that would be perfect for those looking to enjoy casual drinks in the evening. The restaurant area has seating for 60 guests at various small tables and longer community benches. We opted to sit at one of the benches, which were generously spaced so that diners did not have to compete for space with their neighbors.
Great place for a project, but a gastropub menu? Why so simple? menu also contain different bark dishes? Unfortunately, everyone has been forgotten something, although we are literally the only people there. (early lunch on Friday) I had never had maic kartoffel this consistency or taste, not on a good wise. only not very good.
