Coffee. it's such a big thing today. a movement in itself, without the end of the coffee spots open up for the trendy types to fully embrace coffeeism. the latest in good ole shoreditch is paper cup. on a side street from high, they have a small square to drink a cup and read a book. it is a simple place without great surprises, hot drinks, cold drinks, baked and books. no point to go to the website to a view as the strangest little online tool I've ever seen. Why do people have to try to be out there so hard? I guess that's because they buy it. paper cup is ok when they wait for someone and need something fast to pass the time....more
It is very sweet and small and sweet. and not much more. my latte is not so great, and rather to the bitter side, and the personal and the cake look quite tired. also it is incredibly quiet. I'm not sure if they're looking for a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, but it's just so eery. Although they have an hour before the closing, it feels like they have turned off the music in the hope that the people will go. I'm more relieved when someone orders a cappuccino so that the coffee machine can make a little noise!
This amazing small community cafe serves fantastic coffee. Their selection of second-hand items is extensive. All profits are donated to the charity SCT, which helps people recover from addiction and homelessness. The lovely barista who made my delicious coffee was Annabelle. I've heard great things about another barista named Abby as well.
This café is wonderfully cozy and stylish, with bookshelves lining the walls in a beautiful neighborhood. The drinks come in generous sizes and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Added bonus: it's a non-profit, so definitely worth returning to.
