First of all, my French cosmopolitan was pure alcohol, not enough cranberry juice for me. I asked them to fix it, but it still wasn’t good. I returned the drink and got the frozen lemoncello margarita. That was much better. The bread with the tomato sauce on it was cold and stale, and when we mentioned it to our waitress, she plopped another basket on the table without any bit of an apology. The second batch of bread was Much better, but at that point, we really didn’t need anymore bread. Most entrees were good, except my maple-glazed salmon. The salmon and sweet potatoes were too sweet for me. After the meal, our waitress, Debbie, never acknowledged my mom’s birthday. In the past, we would get biscotti with whipped cream and a candle. When she brought the check, I started to mention it to her, but she walked away. My daughter went after her because she was appalled by her rudeness. The manager came over to apologize and offered us a dessert, but we had already paid the bill and were ready to leave. She offered take-out dessert, but it’s just not the same. Sadly, Guimarello’s will no longer be our go-to special restaurant.
After eating such delicious food I ended up ordering food to take back home to Philadelphia..
Twice in one week!! Food absolutely delicious ! Crab, Veal, Pasta, Soup !!! Drinks... Michele is a real mixologist as well as the most efficient up beat person we have encountered . Our dinner service the second time there was at the bar and was fabulous . Cucumber Martini over the top . Old Fashion was perfect. The gentleman sitting next to me said he drove 30 miles out of his way and would do it again . Agree 100 .
I just called and ordered a few apps for take out. I am a small business owner and think very carefully about my reviews. I ordered off the menu on line and picked up my food. When I opened what was supposed to be 2 crab cakes and mashed potatoes but what I received was just one. When I called to challenge the prices I was told the menu and prices have changed but I was not made aware of this. So in essence I paid 23 for 1 crab cake. I honestly feel like I was ripped off. I will def think twice before I go back there. PS… when I did call I was told the prices on line were wrong but no one ever let me know, the one who was paying!!! I feel if there’s a price difference the customer should be told. Not surprised when the open their food and see it’s half of what was described
If you have not visited, do yourself a favor! Everything was delicious. The service was great. The only thing... carpet on floor but I would come again. Vegetarian options: Not many.
