Express Restaurant - Hamilton

Called ahead for Saturday night. There were two parties that were expected to finish by 5:30 or shortly after. They do not take reservations; it's first come, first served. Arrived at 6:30 and mentioned we didn't have reservations. They informed us that they cannot guarantee seating without a reservation. They had previously agreed to attend; it's not their responsibility if there is no space available.

I have been searching for a good Italian restaurant. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, my meal was disappointing. I ordered fettuccine and it was very thick and overcooked, making it unpleasant to eat. It should have been tossed in olive oil, but instead it was drowning in it. The dish was heavy and unappetizing. The bread provided was clearly stale. To make matters worse, there was no parmesan cheese included with my pasta, which is essential for a good Italian meal.

We used to frequent this restaurant often in the past, and our most recent meal was fantastic. However, our experience with takeout was quite disappointing. We ordered 2 calzones, but they were not what we had requested. The calzones were bland and lacked flavor, with very little sauce covering them. Our order was ready upon arrival, but it took 10 minutes for someone to assist us. The first calzone we received was supposed to have paprika and green olives, but it came without olives and with an excessive amount of onions. The second calzone was supposed to have pepperoni, prosciutto, mushrooms, and onions, but came without any mushrooms. We will have to reconsider returning to this restaurant and will inform our friends about the issues we encountered with our order and the subpar service on a Monday evening.

Drove to the location and the exterior is not so interesting, nor is it in a 'upscale' area, but what we loved about it. Something like a hidden jewel in this 'un-consumer' and 'construction' like area. Once we came in, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and welcoming. We were warmly welcomed, service was perfect as we were not in a hurry, so the server adapted our condition. Salad, pizza and beer were more than we had expected in quality, taste, presentation and size. A lot to go home. Will definitely return.

Went for dinner Saturday night call for reservations, got them for 7:00pm . When we arrived got our table right away. Not one person came over to talk for a 1/2 hour. We got our drink order and then 20 minutes later my mom and...sister got their appetites. Forgot my soup, waited 15 minutes then my soup came. waited 20 minutes the server came and told me they were out of the pasta I order and if I did not mind the substitute. I was fine. Then all other guest that arrived way after we did were getting their food and we were still waiting. The server did finally come over and tell us our food would be up soon, and asked if everything was OK our answer was no and we stated our concerns. She said we had 3 big parties tonight. . Yes we understood but how do people coming in after us get their food before us. We were there from 7:00 to 9:30 we could not have dessert since the restaurant was closing. Nothing was done for us to make us feel better. I work in the food industry and will make sure everyone I know about my horrible experience. I eat out a lot and have never had this kind of an experience. No one even cared that we were so unhappy.
