I ordered boiled crabs, boiled shrimp, and all the accompaniments. The crabs were perfect and delicious. The shrimp had a good flavor, but they were quite dry and difficult to peel. It seems they might have been boiled for too long and left out of the water for too long as well. Aside from that, everything else was excellent!
The restaurant has lost many customers because the phone line is always busy. There is no call waiting, and I couldn't get through after making 12 calls. While the food is decent, the customer service is terrible.
I arrived around 5:40 and wanted to get some food, but there was a line leading to the register when I got there. The waitress asked if I wanted to dine in, and I said yes, but she told me I couldn't eat in at that time. When I asked if I could place a to-go order instead, she informed me that the kitchen was closed. Unfortunately, there was quite a long line of people waiting.
Without a doubt, this is one of the best seafood spots in the Hammond area. They offer a wide variety of options, from fresh shrimp and crabs to alligator meat! The prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. It can get a little crowded, but that just reflects the quality of the food here.
