Upon arrival, we were greeted by five incredibly friendly Chinese women who did not speak English. They communicated with us by pointing at pictures on the wall and showing us raw ingredients, which was quite amusing. The restaurant was small and cozy with only four tables, giving us the feeling that it was once their living room that had been transformed into a dining space. The food was exceptional, though quite oily (as is typical in China). We particularly enjoyed a dish made with tofu, mock meat, eggplant, potatoes, and vegetables. In total, we ordered four dishes which came to a total of 64 Yuan. We plan to return to this restaurant soon and highly recommend it to others. Don't miss out on this gem!
This restaurant is the most welcoming I have ever visited! While not fancy, it is incredibly cozy and homey. Even though vegan options are available at many other restaurants in Harbin, I highly recommend stopping by this charming little spot during your visit. The food is entirely vegan, making it a safe option for those without allergies. Located on a street not accessible by taxis, we had a bit of an adventure finding our way there. However, with the help of some locals, we eventually arrived. The food was delicious, especially the faux meats. Prices were extremely reasonable, with 8 amazing dishes costing only 120 yuan (which was more than enough for our group of 8). The owner, a sweet lady who does not speak English, was patient in trying to communicate with us. We used a Chinese dictionary to convey our preferences for vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, and even fake meat. On our second visit, she even asked if we wanted spicier dishes by showing us a pepper. Our experience at this restaurant was the highlight of our trip to Harbin.
It took some time to find (it is left from the main road), the people were very friendly and it is really warm inside! the food was really delicious and didn't take long to get out. large portions and quite cheap!
We had problems finding this place, but after we showed the Chinese address to some people, we finally found it. we were greeted by five super friendly Chinese women who do not speak a word of English, but they communicated by showing on pictures on the wall and showing us raw foods that were creepy. the place was very small and cozy with only four tables. it felt like it was her former living room that had turned her into a restaurant. eating was spectacular (although very oily, but this is china). we had a court with tofu, faux meat, aubergine, kartoffel and sweet, which was particularly amazing. we had a total of 4 dishes that cost us 64 yuan. we'll be back soon. Do not miss this place!
We came to the restaurant after a very long bus ride at one of the coldest days in harbin and were really exhausted. the beautiful woman who leads the place offered us her couch to rest, big tee and once we were refreshed also a wonderful meal with many new aromas and combinations. we highly recommend to this small but great place for the warm welcome and the good eat. call them in advance so they know how many dishes to make, and willing to be surprised, but on a good wise
