The Yard Pizzeria - Harpenden

Loved the delicious pizzas handmade in the traditional Italian oven! Great flavours combined to take you to Italy in a bite ! Nice compact menu at a reasonable price too. Never noticed it on the high street as it’s tucked away but found it on Tripadvisor with great reviews already.

We have been coming here for a while now and have always looked forward to the food, tonight they have let them selves down, staff had no idea on customer service,. No plates, had to ask 3 times , and then he grunts as he’s walking away. They need to train staff before asking them to represent a business.

Ordered online, turned up as they were finishing our pizzas off, straight out of the oven and home. They were so tasty, balanced flavours, perfectly made and cooked, just delicious. I'll be going back without a doubt.

This is an excellnt restaurant that probably does not attract many diners because of it 's dark exterior and the emphasis is construed as a delivery take-away. As an Introvert, that suits me tickkety-boo. The mixed olives as a starter were very plentiful, the very spicy Vesuvius pizza was a delight to my palate. The Montepulcianno wine was fabulous and served at perfect ambient temperature. Staff are fabulous, it is always uplifting to get service with a nod and a wink !

Great food at staggeringly reasonable prices. Attentive staff who were able to produce individual bills.
