The cafe is tucked away at the back, walking through the farm shop to get to it. The food was very nice the homemade chips particularly good. Lots of different cakes out on display to choose from. The guy running the cafe was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to please (even though he was under staffed). His plans for the business sound exciting. Less can be said for the shop however, where the till was unmanned and the lady attendant was difficult to find. After finding, then losing her again and waiting at the till for a good few minutes, I left without purchasing the cute baking tins that I wanted. When this place is fully staffed, I can see it doing really well.
Oh dear, food took over an hour to arrive was cold . One plate was grubby . They were understaffed, too many covers cold eggs Benedict!
The place was really cold so much do everyone had their coats on. We ordered 3 meals; meat pie and vegan and steak burger. The pie was tasty; the vegan burger was awful, the chips were Luke warm and there was hardly any salad. On the plus side the staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful.
We were a group of six including four lively boys. We were had a friendly welcome and soon seated at our table. The food arrived quickly including an extra bowl of chips. Everyone was very happy. Thank you.
Booked for Sunday lunch, sadly not great: No hand wash or hand towels in ladies Waited for an hour from arrival for dinner Chewy tough beef, reheated soggy roast potatoes, small soggy Yorkshire pudding, and some cheesy slop on top of meal costing £18. Dirty drink glasses Cold restaurant. Not enough staff, one person trying to run it all, but on the plus side they were very pleasant.
