Jahm Ske's - Hartford

Kid-friendliness: Some of the staff are very nice, especially a few of the morning workers and some of the night staff are sweet.

As soon as I entered the restaurant, the staff started making disrespectful remarks. I decided to leave immediately.

I ordered a large curry goat with white rice, and it was tasty. However, my main concern was the price; it was $23.00, but the portion didn’t match what I paid. While they serve a generous amount of rice, the amount of meat was quite limited. If I had known, I would have opted for a medium size, as the meat portion felt similar to what you get with the large.

Jahm Ske is probably the best all-around Jamaican restaurant in Connecticut. I've been going to here for about 25 years from their former location to where they are now.Some faves:Curry Chicken or GoatStew ChickenJerk Chicken (best in the region)SnapperChicken soupThe food is really good.The customer service may not always be the best but it is worth it for the food.

Absolutely disgusting, stale cheaply made, greasey, inconsistant food and they get worse and worse each day.The have not been great since the moved from homestead and have not been just OK in the past couple years.I guess I have to keep taking that ride to Bridgeport, CT for the delicious always consistant Root Man restaurant.Harford only has mediocre Caribbean/Jamaican restaurants.One star is too much.
