Verrills Fish Shop - Hartlepool

The food was absolutely terrible! The chips were overcooked and tasted like they were fried in old oil. The battered sausage was nothing but mush. The whole meal was inedible. We absolutely hated it!

This is the best Fish and Chips I've ever had. The white fish was delicious, with a light and crispy batter and perfect chips. Each piece was a different size and combination, but all were fantastic. I live in Leeds, where they have the worst fish and chips in the country, so this meal felt like a real treat.

Arrived around midday on Saturday but queue moved really quickly. Service war polite and efficient food was fabulous generous portions and lovely Haddock and Chips x 2!

Back to being the best Fish Chips. Far better than the Magpie at Whitby. Cash only though. What's that all about these days? HMRC
