Mary's Kitchen - Hartwell

A wonderful restaurant to enjoy a meal with family. The staff is beautiful and incredibly friendly.

The restaurant is quite easy to overlook—we actually missed it on our first attempt to find it. If you're looking for an authentic Southern dining experience, this is the place to go. Everything we saw on the menu looked incredible. I ordered the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and a delicious cookie. My friend had the BBQ pork, fried okra, and green beans, and she loved every bite. They also serve breakfast, which I’m sure is amazing!

The food selection is amazing! The price is affordable! Down home feeling! Great staff! Please don't leave without trying her sausage patty!!!

Went in for Sunday buffet and got fried chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac n cheese and creamed corn. The fried chicken was the worst thing I ordered. It had no flavor at all. The sweet potatoes were very mushy, almost puréed, cream corn was ok and Mac n cheese was decent. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The sweet tea was good and they have pitchers of tea on every table. Bill was $10 something, not bad if the food was good.

I'd missed this place so much since moving away almost 10 years ago. Going back and finding it just as good as ever was wonderful! Looking forward to many more great meals here now that we've moved back!
