We also did not have to fish for our food under a pile of lettuce and other garnishments, so I was happy about that. The prices were good. Lunch runs from 11 to 3pm and we took advantage of the deals on the lunch menu. Great experience overall.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. The tortilla chips tasted burnt, the burrito I ordered tasted off. There was very little chicken in it, a lot of beans and rice (which tasted gross), way too many jalapenos. The establishment appeared to be clean, however, the ceiling needs repair in certain areas. The booth seats were uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
Decent food. I like the salsa but my wife did not. It has fresh oregano in it I think and that is why she did not like it. I thought it was great. We asked for something that wasn't on the menu and they had no problem making it for us. It's your basic Mississippi Mexican food.
Carlos is the man. Excellent food and beautiful atmosphere.
We went around 5:00pm on Sunday. There was someone playing music in the bar area, he sounded good, and the bar was quite lively. The music was pretty loud, but not deafening. We sat in the main dining room rather than the bar and could hear every word he sang. Overall a nice experience. The main dining room was completely empty other than us and one other person sitting alone. It's an underrated restaurant. Definitely one of the better mexican restaurants in town.
