White Dog Cafe-Haverford

This was a very disappointing experience- it took over 20 minutes after placing drink orders for them to arrive and then our main courses took 45 minutes to arrive for which the waitress was apologetic in both cases but ...... I ordered the Orecchiette Pasta which was so bitter it was inedible. The dish came with broccoli rabe which is naturally bitter but this dish had nothing in it to balance the bitterness. Waitress didn't return until the rest of my party had finished eating and she did offer to bring a different dish however at the point we were just ready to leave. In addition while it is a very nicely appointed restaurant it was incredibly loud and the seating felt tight in terms of being close to other tables. Overall just a disappointing experience. Maybe it was just an off night but probably will not return.

This place is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was! The food is delicious and such a great array of flavors. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely would order it again. Will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had a reservation for 6 over Villanova Family Weekend that I made months ago. I got a text confirming the reservation earlier that day. Then when we were getting ready to head to the restaurant I went into the Open Table app to get the address and my reservation was no longer there. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and was told they cancelled my reservation because I booked it on the patio and it was raining out. #1, I had no idea I booked the table on a patio (why are they advance booking anything in late September on a patio? That should be for walk ins depending on the weather , and #2, nobody called to tell me this or help me come up with another solution. (They claimed they did call but we did not receive a call. So we were left hanging with every other restaurant around totally booked with over an hour wait. The manager apologized but made no effort to help us by calling the other White Dog or attempting to squeeze us in. The whole experience was super unprofessional. I have had things like this happen in the past and the restaurant always made something work for us, even if it was a bit of a wait.

The service was excellent. The choices of waffles are quite interesting and I would give it a try. The eggs are prepared the way you requested which is a big deal. A number of times they are messed up. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
