The best Salvadorean place in Hayward. Highly recommend. Had a pupusa and Tamal combo. Very good.
We were in the area and decided to stop by this restaurant for a meal today. I tried the beef soup and it was absolutely delicious. The serving size was huge, so I took a large portion home with me. The pupusas were just as amazing as they always are. We ordered 20 to go and plan to freeze some for later. These are hands down the best pupusas in the bay area. We have tried them in various cities like San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, San Jose, and Redwood City, but this place takes the cake year after year. The revueltas pupusas, which contain a mix of cheese, beans, and chicharron, are our favorite. The corn masa is perfectly balanced with the fillings. Unlike other places, this restaurant doesn't skimp on the fillings to save money. The curtido is seasoned nicely and the salsa is delicious. I also noticed that the dishes on other tables looked appetizing. Many patrons were enjoying the caldo (soup), so I'm sure it must be great as well. The tables were spaced apart, the servers wore masks, and there was outdoor seating available. We chose to dine outside and made sure to order plenty of pupusas to go.
First off real friendly staff. As for the food, It's really delicious with reasonable prices. You get quick service and probably the best pupusas in Hayward that I've had. Be back soon!!!!
The food at this restaurant was fantastic. I ordered two pupusas - one with jalapeno and cheese, and one with shredded beef. The guacamole and chips, as well as the fried plantains, were all very tasty. However, the horchata did not live up to expectations.
