I also visited the culture space next door, which was very interesting and informative. I can. this place highly recommended. a change from the usual commercial locations.
A beautiful toilet stop, unfortunately a rare event now in the region highland, where the rat closed most public loos or a charge on old stinking dirty facilities. so it should be clean, fresh and by donation. the caffe next door. is also nice to bake house. if this is a community centre, then well done!
Almost missed this jewel, it is only on the left side of invergarry when it is towards skye bridge. does not look like much from the outside and need the potholes dodge, but inside and enjoy some of the best homemade foods they find. everywhere yes, it is simple suppe, sandwiches, filled roll and cake with a selection of drinks. they only need a short stop on a long journey. it has a beautiful community atmosphere with friendly staff and is obviously a popular focus in the village. we had sweet potatoes and cocoss soup and it was so delicious that I could have eaten another healthy part, but I had to find space for a homemade meringue, filled with fresher saw it was just the perfect easy sticky consistency, a very difficult to find in today's mass produced meringues. my man had the lemon cake, perfect. all this plus a huge teekanne for only under unbeatable. if it was in front of my house, I would be there every day. oh and the toilets were immaculate! fantastic and thanks.
Wonderful, a hidden gem! make them a break, have really delicious coockies and some beautiful tee or coffee. a clean room to visit.
What a lovely place. Friendly volunteer staff means prices are very reasonable, and the quality is excellent. Cakes are yummy and at these prices seconds are, well, very tempting. Heritage centre is fascinating. This place is too easy to miss but well worth a visit.
