Hinlickity’s Ice Cream Parlor

They have a really great outdoor space with lots of tables and a walk up window. It’s cash only to come prepared! I got the blueberry and sweet corn scoops and it was very fresh.

Sweet corn ice cream, you ask? Sweet corn ice cream, I reply. Delicious, like all the flavors in our group, nice little outdoor seating area and parking was a snap, there was a good sized line when we arrived but it moved quickly. Cash only but there's an ATM across the street.

Stopped there yesterday I think it’s the best kept secret for Highlands. Not down that way too often and found by mistake. It will be a place we stop at EVERY SINGLE TIME we head down to Sandy Hook or in yesterdays case Seven Presidents Park in Long Branch.

Hinlickity's is the perfect ice cream parlor. It's like stepping back in time, they have all your classic favorites and some new ones too. The ice cream is delicious, and things are prepared and served the way they should be. The atmosphere is great, the staff are top notch, and the prices are very good. If your from this Era, the place will bring you back, and if your not, you will know what it's like to have sat in a feel good place and enjoyed a delicious sweet treat. The sad part was when I learned there only open till mid November, so get over there quick!

Great root beer floats and specialty peanut butter ice cream. Perfect for a post-beach treat!
