Such a beautiful and cozy place, plus the food was super good, especially Tom-Yum soup (highly recommended). For cat lovers there is a charming fluffy cat that is saved by the owner to smuggle around <3 What a beautiful experience!
A friendly hostel in a quiet alley amidst the best location in the city. So close to everything worth seeing and still tranquil enough so you can get away from the buzzing streets. The lady host is very nice, who runs her place with order and good sense of cleanliness. There's a good little bar in the ground floor for quick coffee and something to eat, cooked by the host herself.
I stayed too long and made nuisance of myself, but the girls helped me a lot. The cat runs the place ...... ha ha. Beautiful animal. Named “Gatsby”. You’ll love the place like home. “Small” but cozy. Have coffee in the morning and practice your Vietnamese with the girls. The staff is always helpful. I hope Coco’s new business does even better, and I’ll be back soon. Happy travelling
Coco Hostel Bar is a highly recommended hostel in Ho Chi Minh City. We stayed in both the dorm bunks and a private room during our two stays in HCMC. Both were clean, quiet, and affordable, and a good way to connect with other travelers. Coco and her staff are very friendly and helpful. We got excellent restaurant recommendations as well as flexible check in/check out times, which was very helpful when we had all our luggage with us and nowhere else to hang out. We didn 't feel at all nickel and dimed unlike some of our other stays in Vietnam. The location is great, it feels very safe, and there is a lot of food and shopping just minutes away. Coco offers complimentary toast and tea/coffee in the morning which was perfect to get us going. Plus, there are two super cute cats to hang out with! The first time finding this place can be a little tricky you have to walk through a painted blue gate on the street down a bit of an alley. Overall, a a fun, clean, friendly, and affordable spot to crash in Ho Chi Minh City. 5 stars.
The staff were friendly and offered to pick me up when I couldn’t find my way inside the hostel. Staff were fluent in English so communication wasn’t a problem. Accommodation has a lovely cat that gives the hostel a warm homely atmosphere. Interior design was creative and the food beverages offered was top notch. I felt reluctant to leave the place after just a day. I’ll miss the cat. Location of the hostel is located around many of Ho Chi Minh City’s landmark areas. Ideal for long or short-term stay but I would have preferred to stay much longer if not for my short trip.
