We enjoyed a morning coffee and brunch here and it was very tasty. recommend a return visit. Nothing too hard to organise if you need it.
This little kebab cafe and takeaway has been in Hobart for many years and consistently delivers delicious kebabs. My kebab was felafel with tahina and special salads. There is the option of a half or full size. There are three stools to eat in with or takeaway. It is opened Monday to Friday 1130 to 1430 and would recommend it if in the area and feeling like a good option for lunch. There are soft drinks for sale too. There are some benches nearby to enjoy it outside the Centrepoint car park Victoria Street side or the International Wall of Friendship at 188 Collins Street lower part near the ZAP gym entrance. Definitely would return.
Came back to this sole operator hole in the wall takeaway with a bench after many years and it is still the tastiest felafel or meat kebab you can get in Hobart imo, but is only open for 3 hours per day, in the lunch hours.Cost is 11.50 for basic or 13,50 for special, which is quite pricey for a kebab but it is genuinely superior to standard takeaway kebabs.Sauces include a decent hot chili sambal, tahini, plain yoghurt (garlic yoghurt has gone...not sure why). salads include chick pea, tabouli, greek, avocado, standard "aussie" and bunch of other items such as green olives, red onion, shredded cheesekebab bread is pita and the finished item is rolled then squashed and toasted in a large sandwich ironA pity the place is a bit out of the way with limited opening hours & a bit pricey compared to competitors but the fare is tasty, healthy and distinctly better.
I have to agree with the recent reviews. This restaurant has definitely gone downhill. The last two kebabs I ordered were sloppy and lacked flavor. Adding insult to injury, the server handling my order didn't even bother to remove his glove when taking my payment and then proceeded to touch my food. I will not be returning to this establishment.
