I knew Tony and like other reviewers I have watched as the decor got a bit run down and the place seemed more empty. This past year I have seen renovations inside which is good and most importantly, Jeff and I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. I have eaten at many other Chinese places and this one continues to be my favorite. About the only complaint I have is occasionally when we have ordered a battered pork or battered chicken dish there has not been enough meat and too much gristle. However, we eat here many times throughout the year and overall it is excellent. There is no better won ton soup anywhere and when I have a cold or flu Jeff always brings it home and it does the trick to make me feel better.
My sweetie took me here last night for my birthday dinner. He has been raving about this place for awhile, and I'm finally glad I got to eat here. He recommended the mandarin beef. Oh my, was it delicious! And I had enough for two meals so it will be lunch today as well! <br/ <br/ I was very impressed with the decor of the restaurant. Most of the fixtures and decorations are authentic from the owners homeland. My sweetie has done work for them and can back this up. Can't wait to go back here again. Maybe I'll try the sesame chicken next time.
Excellent!. I'm am very picky about Hot and Sour soup, this one is amazing! It has chicken and seafood in it and just the right amount of spicy and sweet! Their Mongolian beef is a favorite of my husbands.
Once great but now just ok. I used to come here with my grandparents years and years ago. It was so good. Now, it can't really compete with Mr. Chen's. BUT their sizzling rice soup is the best I've ever had in the United States, and it is still as good as it was when I first had it years ago. If you like sizzling rice soup, it's worth a trip to Mandarin House to get it.
HUGE Chicken Lo Mein! Also 'donut hole ' thing with fortune cookie
