Back Door Saloon - Houghton Lake

I don't want to be charged for the ice in my Irish cream. Two separate prices.

Used to be good. Since all bartenders and waitresses are below the age of 20, it's turned to a disaster.

The food tasted good, but the burgers that we received straight out of the kitchen where cold. The waitress didn't even offer to replace or do anything about it. I had the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips, that was amazing ????. I also had a steakMexican bowl, my rice was still cold at the bottom of the bowl, but tasted amazing and that sauce the delish!! I woulddefinitely come again.

Exactly what you want from a bar/restaurant: fast service, hot food, good beer. This is the fastest I have ever been served in a restaurant. We sat down, promptly received menus and silverware, and were told our server would be there in a minute...and shewas. We ordered craft beer on draft, had it on our table in less than 5 minutes, ordered our food, and had our apps in lessthan 5 minutes. Apps were spicy fried green beans with a sweet chili sauce and loaded tater tots. They were so hot that wesipped our beers for a couple of minutes and then our food arrived, we ordered the traditional sliders to share. No kidding, wewent from sitting down to having drinks and all of our food in less than 15 minutes! The place was nearly full when we arrivedand a wedding shower party of around 20 people cam in right after we sat down, so we were pretty impressed with theservice! Food: perfectly cooked, hot, and so yummy! The sliders were bigger than usual and not greasy or soggy. They had a goodsized patty, fresh toppings, and the house made yum yum sauce is great. In fact, so good and so fast that I forgot to take anypictures! We would definitley go back if we're in the area again!

Great views of Higgins Lake! Decent beer selection, full bar, and lots of different food options made it an easy choice for lunch with the whole family. Even though it was busy we were still able to get a table in a reasonable amount of time. All ourfood was delicious, but the french fries and Sante Fe egg rolls were the highlight!
