Empire Café - Houston

Empire was always a fairly simple option in terms of quality, consistency and options. But today I was surprised with this all-chemical coffee concoction from this world by Anita. It looked so good that I didn't even want to touch it! It took only one sip for this thought to disappear and one minute or two for the drink to do the same. Delicious, smooth, not sweet and just right. Thank you, Anita... you're the best. But you know that.

Outdoor terrace is beautiful with a relaxing and cool atmosphere. The size of the portions was small, but the food tasted good. It is not very crowded during the weekdays. The staff was friendly.

This place is always super busy! They have surprisingly good parking. It's counter-service while the seats come. The waiting time is quite long, but not the waiting time to get your food / coffee. You have a wide selection for brunch. I enjoyed my avocado toast and ice cream. My sister said her waffle could be Craspier, but it was good.

Finally, the chance was to try this place for breakfast and I was happy with it. My breakfast Croissant could have used something, not sure what, but there was something missing and the potatoes were dry. Apart from the fact that the drinks came out quickly and did the food. The drinks were delicious, the place has plenty of seats inside and outside with fans and coolers.

Went there around 8am, easy to find parking. It's a good place to start your day, have a cup of coffee and some breakfast. The cookies that come with the coffee and tea taste like homemade. Not really a fan with the food l ordered, looks better than the taste. Place is clean, vibe is good, staffs are friendly, overall it's a good place for a coffee or tea.
