We had 3 glasses of Greek white wine $22 each), the trio dip appetizer $18), village salad $18) and chicken souvlaki $18)on roasted vegetables. Everything was delicious and fresh, but you do not get a lot of food for the money. We basically had the equivalent of a cheeseboard and a salad for $54. Service was friendly, but the place is nothing special. Won't be back for that kind of money. I'm kind of surprised they're still in business.
Good food and ambiance, not at all great service. After paying our bill, we were wrapping up our last glass of wine when closing time hit (10pm) at that exact minute they abruptly turned on all the bright lights and turned off the music, like we were at a college bar or something. It was extremely uncomfortable and they forced us to leave immediately (of course we had only intended to finish that glass and leave shortly). We had just spent $450 and tipped very generously you’d think they’d be a little more lenient and give us a minute. They also serve all main courses with butter knives including lamb and ribeye making it difficult to eat those dishes. When I asked for a steak knife I was told there was only 1 in the whole restaurant so our table had to share 1 knife for the 5 of us. I never leave less than 5 stars for places, but this experience at Helen just made me feel really uncomfortable. Very odd vibes all around. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

This place is to die for. My husband and I were looking for a spot in the area that was unique and boy did we find it. The staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, they made us feel very welcomed the food and drinks were on another level. Huge wine selection and the sangria was delightful. The feta spread and market fish were incredibly thought through dishes and I haven’t had something so delicious in a very, very long time. If we weren’t from out of town, we certainly would be here regularly. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Frixos Catch Plaki Style
This spot is conveniently located in Rice Village which means you can eat and enjoy the people watching. When we entered the restaurant a friendly hostess greeted us. We were seated near the front of the house and really loved that we were able to see everyone else around. We looked through the menu carefully deciding our food and wine. We had never consumed an orange wine before, and I am so glad we ordered it. It is so refreshing and the color is this beautiful orange tone. We had it with our Cypriot meatballs and feta brined chicken. What a stellar meal!
