Got offered another baguette orsourdough bread. I asked her I thought everything was made in house, she said no the ship everything. So I get a $10 gift card, then the guy manager was helping girl run register on gift card as I ordered the chicken friand. He handed me my order did notapologize or anything. Terrible managers. Place was so dirty, even mold of my French bread on counter. Never again, spent $27yesterday. Was thankful but really need better Management. As yesterday was national cookie day, and lady manager said no freecookies they just want you to buy is all. I said aww they are good, she said yes they are. Just rudeness and to go staff have noidea what they are doing!!
The company I work for has pastries from here monthly so I decided to try them out. just stopped in for a slice of chocolate cake.
This is our Sunday after church place to go and the food is predictably yummy the free bread-and-butter is a favorite and the employees are friendly and warm. I think they have the best coffee around and I love their heated croissants and theirstrawberries romanoff and their tomato basil soup....update..still love this place... love the attention to detail includingsomething as small but helpful as having a place to put your purse when you use the lavatory.
Dirty lacks flavor . Hot food was cold bakery items were old. Manager is sarcastic rude . Whole place is out dated needs a thorough cleaning. Sad because this place unused to be great in the early 2000?s
This La Madeleine has a slightly different and more nuanced layout, in a good way a nice departure from the blocky room after room layout. Other than that, it just like any other locations... with the same excellent almond croissant!
