I will see again if I get one of these chuleta kan kan. buen provecho y gracias por la comida.
Ángel, the native Puerto Rican owner, owns up to his name! I called to order from Pasadena, and he sweetly asked I call when 10 min. out so he could prepare the food as fresh as possible...You know you’re getting *love* as the main ingredient and it’s going to have homemade vibes. I believe customer service can make or break a meal and also influence the taste; I smiled the entire time I ate the mofongo with the perfect amount of buttery garlic sauce that didn’t run out! I lived in PR and can confirm this is the legit spot. Also, there is such a charming hole-in-the-wall feel, again like being at home. The owner took the time to genuinely connect and I left getting both my stomach and spirit fed. For once, I have NO complaints on a restaurant review. Gracias
They receive you like you are part of the family. Great fresh and homemade food. The service is awesome. The mofongo with chuletas is the best.
The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The owners are friendly. The food is tasty. This was our first visit here and it was a great experience.
Place is legit Puerto Rican food. I don’t think you can get more authentic in Houston. Small dining room and you’re pretty much eating in someone’s kitchen so you feel like your part of the family. Worth the visit to try something new.
