What to say about this local staple? It is very dive-like, and is indeed the destination for many bikers on a day ride. There is a view of the sea through open windows, and they host many events. It has been a bar or dance hall for most of the last century. The pizza is great!
If you like pizza, you owe it to yourself to eat theirs. I like their crust more than any other; Two Boots in NYC I like for the toppings. Magnificent crispy crust, rich tomato paste, and gooey cheese. Plus booth seating with an ocean view, and rough cut boards from a saw mill at the entrance.
I visited this restaurant for the bluegrass music on Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised by the pizza. It was completely different from what you typically find at other places. The sauce was fantastic!
I always request the wings to be extra crispy, and they never disappoint! If you're a fan of New Haven-style pizza, this is the place for you!
