Yamazato - Hurt

This place is the best! Great hibachi! Great prices. The lady up front is so sweet. This is the business to support. I will gladly drive 25 mins out of the way to go here when I’m wanting a good quality meal. Thank you Yamazato! For giving us what we all really need! 10/10

This had to be the NASTIEST STEAK and CHEESE EGG ROLL I have ever bit into, I took one bite I was SHOCKED at how AWFUL it tasted, I took another bite and said to myself I can't eat this, it didn't even taste like steak and the egg roll coating was DIME THIN you could see clean through the shell to the steak and it was barely fried and oh my GOD GREASY. It tasted like they had FRIED it in WIERD CHEMICALS, it did not taste like FOOD, the steak looked like MUSHY dog ...., I don't even think a dog would have eaten that nasty mess. I want EVER go back to that place again. Better off eating home this day and time.

The two times I have eaten at the Yamazato have not gone well. I dined in once and take out once. the dine in was a very long wait to get served, there was just no one paying attention. The food was lukewarm, the amount poor, and the oil in the container (not a plate a container) was along the sides. the take out was actually worse as teh order was wrong and items given us were not the ones ordered

So my family and I went to dine in here due to the high rating of reviews. Sadly, we were all disappointed with the service (very busy and only one person running the register and taking table orders). The second strike was the horrible condition of the back of the restaurant were you head to the bathrooms, which is were we had been seated. Working in the food industry for many years, this made my stomach flop. As we waited for our food we grew more worried. The ceiling tiles were covered in black mold, paint peeling off the walls, the drink station just had Styrofoam cups(no lids or straws), the smoke from the grill tainted the other ceiling panels as it seem to have no proper ventilation. The food was amazing and that's about the only complement I can give. It was hot, flavorful, and well portioned. The prices for what we ordered was almost $70 for 3 adults and 1 child (who didnt have a meal just some chicken) and I could not believe they charge so much and yet have such a poor atmosphere. Hopefully they can grow from this and continue to bring good but clean service with affordable pricing to this small town.
