I was extremely surprised to see such low ratings for a exceptionally good place for Indian food in an otherwise sea food based town. While our family enjoyed lobster the day before, a change of spices and flavors were achieved objectively here. I recommend the tandoori dishes for meat as well as the lamb and chicken curries, all were delicious: the creamy dishes were delicious as well as the sour/lighter vinegar based curries (like Vin d’alho) Overall a great place.
DONT EAT HERE. This restaurant has a rule that you must pay a minimum of $10 per person. We went with 6 people (which means minimum was $60) and ordered 2 dishes as we weren’t super hungry (our total ended up being $50). The owner snatched up our menus and told us that she wouldn’t serve us because our total did not reach $60 and kicked us out saying that she could only offer us takeout. Absolutely horrible service, the costs are exorbitant for the lack and quality of food options, there is an automatic 20% gratuity that is added. Simply put: this restaurant is run by scammers who are scamming customers from good food and good service while charging royal prices.
AWFUL is the word to start. Just because they are the only Indian restaurant in Hyannis they have the monopoly to serve horrible food and give more horrible service. We reached this restaurant at that time it was almost empty but still they served the order late and when we wanted to order more they were rude enough to tell us that (indirectly)cannot take orders since it was rush hour . Coming to the food it did not justify the price and certainly not the 20 gratuity which you are forced to pay even if your party has 2 people and they charge it for service which is HORRIBLE, the FOOD QUANTITY VERY VERY LESS for the price they charge. Veg Biryani which we ordered was not a biryani nor even fried rice it was just half uncooked white rice mixed with whatever sabji they could grab and mixed. Tanduri rotis were very thin like machine made chapatis. MY SUGGESTION If you can’t even live without eating Indian food then also don’t go here instead grab a bagel or something and save money. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
Like many others, I just don't get the negative reviews! The food was not only good, but excellent, and the service was top-notch as well. I highly recommend this place for delicious, comforting meals that feel like home.
The chicken korma and chicken curry were great. We ordered our dishes hot, and they were the perfect spice level. Friendly people and perfectly cooked
