Renaissance Indian Wells Resort

My room was not so clean. I was kind of disappointed at how dirty the room was considering the amount I paid for it. The night stand had crumbs on it. The coffee table had some kind of smears on it. Inside/under the sofa bed there was a syringe. The bathroom and bed was clean. Everything else was meh.

We loved this hotel! Beautiful! The pool is amazing. My daughter loved the waterfall! The desert views provide an oasis of relaxation. The outdoor bar at the pool was a welcome relief from the 108 F heat! We will return on our next trip to the Palm Springs area!

This hotel needs a little bit of an update. This smacks you in the face the minute you enter the dark, dingy lobby area. Pros Spacious room with 2 TVs. (King suite) Large bathroom with Jack Jill sinks. Large pool area with great service. Nice air conditioned gym. Plenty of sun-beds umbrellas around pool area. Good location (car needed) not far from places to eat/drink/shop. In room fridge coffee maker (no kettle) Staff around pool really pleasant nice. Ice water fountain by pool. Could log into Netflix on TV. Cons Small balcony, no chairs or table to sit out on. Air con noisy. Has a mind of its own! Pool dirty as people are eating and drinking in there, so cups end up floating about! Pool area very busy noisy at weekends. People drinking alcohol in the pool from 8am! Carpet in bedroom very tired didn’t look/feel particularly clean. No shade in self park area (cheaper than valet) so car was roasting hot. When we arrived sofa bed for child was not set up, had to figure this out make bed ourselves!!! Bedding was not the best. Most towels bedding had marks on them. Rubbish room service trolleys left in corridors for hours. Windows/view obscured by oppressive large blocks!! Room noise from room next door. No one showed you to the room, just here’s your keys off you go! No one to help take the bags from the room when leaving. More negatives than positives. Wouldn’t return!

The hotel is beautiful. It has a definite modern 70’s decor. The room is spacious and clean. Nice size TV. We had a nice balcony. The amenities include Aveda products. They upgraded our room when our room was not ready in a timely manner. The hotel stored our golf clubs so we did not leave them in the car. The golf course would not store our clubs when playing at 6:10 am the next day. Our room overlooked a beautiful pool; however, it was VERY loud. Then at 6:00 pm VERY loud music started at the bar downstairs. Because the hotel is built in a square, the music echoed into our room and it lasted until 9:00pm. There were families everywhere with lots of kids everywhere. I felt like I was staying in romper room. I won’t be back.

I was there for a conference and the food was really bad. The bar was fun to hang out at during the nighttime. The pool was enjoyable with plenty of seating, a bar, flotation options, and a water feature. I'm not a fan of the desert, but my husband loves it there, and the hotel was very close to the Living Desert, so he was happy.Nearby activities: The Living Desert and Palm Springs Tram are not far from this location.
