Sad to post this review I had a similar experience sever as l moths ago but thought I would give it another try before posting a review sadly I think gallery has grown beyond its potential regardless of how crowded I should not have to wait an inordinate amount of time 30+ minutes for food and food itself has been a letdown not hot and not hot Benedict's are no good if you sell a roasted veggie bowl all veggies should at least be cooked my broccoli sitting on top was raw and quite obviously so why would expediter and/or server ever let this get served? And when you ask for crispy bacon and crispy hash browns but get limp bacon and semi crisp hash browns? Yikes interior is gorgeous but product has declined and the area behind the counter was somewhat a mess while the 2 young ladies chatted I know for sure this would not have been tolerated at the original location they were meticulous about keeping all areas clean too much competition in town and yes I am very sad to have to post this review
Food was a 5 and ambience a 5 and the service (once we were served) was a 5, but shouldn't have to wait over 15 minutes for someone to come to the table to bring water. I don't know if it was a staffing issue or lack of urgency (maybe both). I hope the service game increases. I'll return and see.
I came here on a Sunday for brunch and was able to get a table quickly even though they were pretty busy! The atmosphere is beautiful and looks very cute and sleek. The presentation of the food was aesthetic and the service was great. Our server was super nice and very attentive. The food was super good and everything on the menu looked really good... it was hard to choose. Definitely want to come back!
I made plans to meet some friends for dinner and a drink on a Monday and quickly realized how many great local restaurants are NOT open on Mondays. So, we agreed to hit up Gallery, which was open! It was a great choice. The ambiance was perfect for a chilly Fall evening. It was not my first time in the new location, but it was for my dinner dates. We all commented on how beautifully they've transformed the space. For me, dining here reminds me of how it might feel to dine in Anthropologie if it were a restaurant. Whimsical, upscale and yet comfortable...three characteristics that don't go together but yet totally do here! We sat with the menus for a bit trying to decide if we'd share or go w/individual entrees. We opted for individual entrees. I got the shrimp and grits and a glass (ok, 2! of cabernet. My dinner dates each ordered a glass of wine, and one went with the grilled cheese and soup and the other went with the JLT (jowl bacon, lettuce and tomato on a croissant . Excellent choices all around. Our server was lovely. She checked in a few times, just enough to let us know she was available but no so much that she disrupted our 2 hour catch up session over dinner. : I'll be back. And I'll be hard pressed to order anything other than the shrimp and grits on my next visit because it was memorable. A generous portion (made a great lunch from the leftovers today! , beautifully colorful, well seasoned, and chock with fresh roasted vegetables (not just one or two pieces as a garnish .
