Before going I was nervous due to a couple of the reviews, but I think those reviews may have been left by people who expected the kind of Americanized food and service local big chains tend to favor. The meal was very nostalgic. I will be going again.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian main and side dishes.Wheelchair accessibility: All one floor, no step up to the door. I don't remember if there was a cove (bump at bottom of door meant to be stepped over) and the entrance has a tight turn, but the restaurant interior was all level and wide enough for easy navigation.
I always wanted to try this place and it was really good. From the outside a bit of a hole in the wall but don't let that keep you away. We all got a variety of dishes. Tempora bento box, sushi, chicken teriyaki and I got the Oyakodon and the only complaint is the egg wasn't poached but more of a fried hard but it was still very good.
This restaurant has delicious food and the woman who took care of me was very polite and attentive without being invasive. The prices are good and my belly feels after my bowl of rice and fish. Also they've been around forever. I remember my dad taking my brother and me here when I was 11 so we could try sashimi, sushi, and tempura. It's comfortable and clean. The little warm towel before and after was a sweet touch.
An interesting small place.I had the soft shell crab app. in ponzu and the katsudon, and it was more than enough to fill me up.The soft shell crab was definitely a different take for me, but I loved every bite. The katsudon had a very nostalgic taste. It's was like comfort food and made me feel at home. The service was great and fast. Loved this place.
Very unique experience dining here, it was not the quickest service, do come with some time. They were just the two owners working it seemed like. But incredibly kind and hospitable none the less! Food was amazingFood: 5/5
