My five-year-old son swallowed his Falafel sandwich and my daughter loved tea service. We later brought some Baklava home. It is one of my faves, not too sweet and with crushed pistachios.
Sahara?s food is particularly tasteful and well rounded in a perfect way. This visit we simply went and got their babaghanoush, chicken shawarma and gyro, which was all tasty, but what was all the way up was the really hospitable nature of the owner. My sister and I were the only two during a less busy time of the day, and he treated us to Basbouseh, fragrant rose water black tea, and such a cheerful conversation. The whole meal was a heart-warming experience, and is definitely a 7/5 star if I could only rate it so high.
I had the Gyros plate containing hot Pita bread, hummus, gros meat, tzatziki sauce, rice and salad. A very complete meal, and everything was perfectly fixed. No ice cream, hot tea or well drinks, but they have a variety of bottle drinks. Bottom line: delicious food and a beautiful ambience. Very recommended.
Loved this Greek restaurant! Staff is so sweet and the food was good. Will be back for more tabbouleh and gyros. Staff brought us Turkish tea!!
When done correctly, shawarma, falafel, and hummus can be finger licking good. They're also delicious in shawarma wraps. The single and most serious issue is the taste of most shawarma wraps available at fast food restaurants. You've seen them! Wraps with a ketchup mayonnaise sauce and salad that requires assistance to be appetizing. Sahara restaurant provides casual meals in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
